In a lot of gyms, Les Mills group classes are organized.
What is bodycombat?
Bodycombat is a Les Mills group fitness program, inspired by oriental martial arts. It is influenced by a lot of different martial arts: karate, boxing, taekwondo, muay thai and tai chi. This means that in bodycombat one doesn't only execute intensive and explosive movements, but also calm and relaxing movements to improve balance, concentration and co-ordination. The combination of martial arts movements and fantastic music provides a physical as well as a mental challenge.
The power of bodycombat
Bodycombat has, like other Les Mills programs, a unique and fixed structure that guarantees safety and results. A team of fitness, physiotherapy and martial arts experts is responsible for the quality and content of the program. Bodycombat classes are held exclusively by gyms with a certificate. These clubs have instructors at their disposal who have followed a special education for teaching bodycombat.
For who?
Bodycombat is suitable for participants of every level, age or gender. The program offers enough options for everyone to follow the classes at their own level. Moreover, no experience with any martial art is needed. The instructors explain all movements every lesson, and safety and technique are important topics.
What is bodypump?
Bodypump is a Les Mills group program to music. Strength and a correct posture are very important. At the same time, strength training is necessary to increase metabolism, and thus essential for losing weight. Everyone can choose their own training intensity by using more or less weight.
The power of bodypump
Bodypump is a revolutionary fitness workout. All the muscle groups are trained with weighted strength exercises, like squats, lifts, presses and curls. The power of bodypump lies in the simplicity of the goals. A lot of repetitions are made with relatively light weight. The training is directed towards muscle toning, losing weight and maintaining muscle mass. Thanks to the combination of calorie burning and muscle toning, results are quickly visible.
For who?
Bodypump is suitable for everyone. The weight used varies between 1.8 kg ( 4lbs) and more than 30 kg (66lbs), so everyone can choose their own challenge.
